Mebane Pridgen McMahon is the Lead Pastor at the Northwest United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from the University of North Carolina, she became an urban missionary, serving at-risk families on the East side of Dayton. She holds a Masters of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary.
Ordained as an elder in the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, she has served in metropolitan, urban and rural settings. Through her profession, Mebane has been a preacher, retreat leader, and Conference speaker. In 1989, she was appointed by her urban colleagues to speak at the first Annual Bridge event in Dayton, Ohio, an event to advance better race relations. In 2000, She won a preaching contest, sponsored by a publication and website called Dynamic Preaching. She is also a certified life coach as well,
Mebane (pronounced Meben) parented four children. She is an identical twin, a daughter, sister, mother, pastor and friend.
